Site Supervisor
Sterling Industrial Refrigeration is looking for a Site Supervisor who can ensure the smooth day to day safe operation of the construction site. It will be your job to manage and instruct Sterling Refrigeration subcontractors, set daily and weekly goals, and see the projects through to completion and startup. The site supervisor will also assess and manage the safety hazards in the workplace.
Key Duties:
- Must work closely with the Project Manager, customer and other trades
- May assist Project Manager with ways to reduce cost during construction
- Responsible for the coordination of subcontractors and equipment at the job site
- Makes sure construction scheduled is followed and quality and safety standards are maintained
- Expected to be at the site daily during construction
- Hold safety meetings as required
- Resolve all complaints and issues as they occur
- Must communicate with subcontractors, site workers and project manager
- Evaluate performance of subcontractors
- Ensure the construction site is safe and free from hazards
- Execute all change orders properly
- Bring project in on budget and on time
Requirements:
- Must have high school degree / GED, Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of managing the installation of ammonia refrigeration systems with GC or contractor
- Must have OSHA 30
- Must conduct safety training and meetings as required
- Universal EPA certification
- Requires to be on site for a continuous 3 weeks
- Will require travel
- Must be an excellent communicator
- Must be a problem solver
