Sterling Industrial Refrigeration, Inc. was formed in May of 1995 by Steve and Susan Skog to provide the highest quality refrigeration design/build services to the food processing industry. Steve’s background includes degrees in mechanical engineering and food science, experience as refrigeration operating engineer and 11 years with Frigoscandia, a freezer manufacturer. Steve worked his way up to Chief Refrigeration Engineer and then Refrigeration Business Manager. Susan’s background includes a Business Administration degree and experience in both public and private accounting. Together, they formed Sterling to provide top quality refrigeration services to a broad range of customers.

Since 1995, Sterling Industrial Refrigeration has become the Company of Choice for food processors that require high quality design/build services which specialize in low temperature refrigeration systems and the servicing and maintenance of those systems. Sterling is currently managing installation projects and service contracts in South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, New York, Indiana, Texas, California, Utah, New Mexico, and Virginia. As a company, Sterling is licensed as PE’s in 12 states and licensed as a contractor in 15 states and counting.

The Sterling team has degreed engineers, degreed accountants and managers, certified industrial refrigeration service technicians, site supervisors and a service and parts coordinator. Our team is strategically positioned in four states across the country to better service our customer needs.

In an industry where the average warranty cost is 3% of income, Sterling’s warranty cost is less than ½ % of income. This is due to Sterling’s experience, careful design, attention to detail, superior customer training and superior customer support.
